Club Rules |
1.) All play is governed by USGA rules, unless modified by league rules. When in doubt, discuss options with your opponent.
2.) Unplayable lie or lost ball in wood or water hazard. One stroke penalty, drop two club lengths left or right (no closer to the hole) or straight back as far as needed. Trees or hazards must be kept in line of flight with the flag stick.
"OR", one stroke penalty, drop a maximum of two club lengths at the nearest point where the ball "ENTERED" the wood or hazard, not where it came to rest.
3.) Any ball crossing a roadway is considered out-of-bounds for safety sake. Add one stroke penalty & drop two club lengths inbounds where the ball went out-of-bounds.
4.) Lost ball in wetlands: (from the tee, all holes) After hitting a ball in wetlands from the tee, drop on the other side, you will then be hitting your third shot. The ball must cross the wetlands at some point during flight.
5.) Lost ball in wetlands: (from the fairway, all holes) After hitting a ball in wetlands from the fairway, drop behind the wetlands as far back as you desire and add one penalty stroke. |
6.) IMPROVE LIE: Player may move his ball one (1) foot to improve lie, no closer to the hole. Improved lie must be in same conditions; fairway, rough, deep grass. Ball in woods or hazard is to be played as is (don't touch.) If unplayable as is then follow rule 2.
7.) Mark your ball for identity purposes before playing to prevent disputes; mark with initials, dots, marks, lines, etc. to identify your ball if lost. 8.) Two substitutes may be used to make up a team. For the playoffs, two alternates must be approved by the league officers (as per vote.) If two team members are absent and no substitutes have been called the absent team will forfeit the match. (One called substitute will make a match.) Absent golfers are required to find their own substitute or inform the president or secretary if they can't. 9.) A team is not required to play a scheduled match if both opponents or a "called" substitute fail to show up. 5:20 p.m. is the deadline for opponents to arrive. All matches must start play by 5:30 p.m. 10.) Senoir golfers 65 and over tee-off from the green tees on all par 4's and 5's (red on hole #3 on the Trail Course - old hole #18) and from the white tees on par 3's. Senior golfers must declare senior status at the start of the season. |
