This Self-Handicapping Chart will help you to equitably handicap yourself. Find your average scoring round in the "Average Score" column, then declare your starting provisional CTGA handicap from the appropriate handicap column.
Example: If you determines the average score on the course(s) you play to be 88, you should identify this ability and self-declare your provisional handicap as a 16 (men) or 21 (women).
Provisional CTGA handicaps are used to flight New Members and CTGA Guests for our Close-To-Pin, our optional Skins competition and our Member-Guest competitions.
Note: CTGA uses the "honor system" to allow New Members and Guests to provide us with scores for provisional handicapping that is consistent with their playing abilities. |
