Purpose of Document Page Type
The purpose of the Document page is to provide a word processor-like production area for your web pages. The Document page provides many of the formatting capabilities of a word processor such as MS Word.
Capabilities of the Document Page Type
The Document page type has a wide assortment of capabilities including hyperlinks, inserting and importing, formatting of text, etc.

Create a Document Page

Page Layout for a Document Page Type
The recommended way to lay out your Document page type is to use a table or tables. By using tables, your page displayed in a browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, etc.) will follow more closely what you intended in Website Designer.
By using a table, you can create a one column or multi-column format for your website pages. Using a multi-column format allows you to insert photos (or other content) on the right or left side of the website page.
Insert One Column Table:

Insert multi-column tables by adjusting the number of columns in Step 3 above. You can also insert tables with different numbers of columns. See example below that has a 1-column table at the top and 2-column table below it. Additionally, you can insert tables inside tables. See this, as well, below.
