Create a Document Page

  1. From within Website Designer, make sure you have the "Menu" tab selected (rather than the Pages tab).

  1. From the Menu menu select "Insert menu item (New)"

  2. Select the "Blank - Document page" by double clicking on it or highlighting/selecting (click once with left mouse button) it and clicking on the Insert button.

  3. Enter information into "Page Information" window and click OK button.

  4. Your new Document page is now on the navigation menu.

Page Layout for a Document Page Type

The recommended way to lay out your Document page type is to use a table or tables. By using tables, your page displayed in a browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, etc.) will follow more closely what you intended in Website Designer.

By using a table, you can create a one column or multi-column format for your website pages. Using a multi-column format allows you to insert photos (or other content) on the right or left side of the website page.

Insert One Column Table:

  1. Once you create a Document page type as outlined above, select an insertion point for your table by clicking with the pointer/cursor at the approximate vertical position on your Document page.
  2. Go to the Table menu and select "Insert" and then "Table"...

  3. Set the Table Attributes to 1 column. You can put anything you like for rows. The extra rows can be deleted later.

  4. Enter all information into the table. Make sure no information is outside the table.

Insert multi-column tables by adjusting the number of columns in Step 3 above. You can also insert tables with different numbers of columns. See example below that has a 1-column table at the top and 2-column table below it. Additionally, you can insert tables inside tables. See this, as well, below.
