Creating an Image Link
Previous Topic  Next Topic

Sometimes you want to turn an image into a clickable graphic that, when clicked, takes the person to another web page on your website or on another website.

Insert a Clickable Image

  1. First insert an image on your web page

  2. While still in the Page Editor where you inserted the image, right-button-click on the image and select Image Map Editor.

  3. On the Image Map Editor form, select Rectangle or Circle for the shape of the clickable zone to superimpose on the image and then click the Create Area button.

  4. You will see a light blue circle (or rectangle) with a small red grab box. Click (and hold) with your left mouse button on the red grab box and drag the circle (or rectangle) to the size you need.

  5. When you have the size you want, you can then position the circle (or rectangle) by clicking and dragging it. If you know the size of your image in pixels, you can instead size the image by typing Width and Height numbers into the appropriate boxes (width only for circles), hit your Tab key or click Update  Area button, and then reposition.

  1. Type the Internet address to which you want the image to link into the URL box. If you want the image linked to GolfSoftware.com, type in http://www.golfsoftware.com.

  2. Select the Target (whether you want a new window when the image is clicked, etc.)

  3. Click OK button.
